I recently went to the SPRUKE ukulele festival in Brisbane, where I caught up with Ruth Allen, leader of the Port Macquarie Ukestra. If you don’t know what a Ukestra is, go back and listen to the episode I recorded last year with Mark Jackson and Jane Jelbart.
Not only does Ruth lead the ukestra, she is also a James Hill accredited ukulele teacher, and a very entertaining performer!
